Can anyone help ID?

Found in creek bed in St. Charles County, Missouri.

Squashed Echinaria productid brachiopod, is what I'm seeing.

I agree that this is not a conulariid. I’m not seeing evidence of 4 fold symmetry.

JUST for the record: there are conulariids that exhibit multi-sided specimens(e.g. five sides,nine sides)

Did you mean Echinaria semipunctata? I could not find semiplicata.

Is fluorescent bright vermilion the right colour for a hominin face?

Yes, Echinaria semipunctata is a possible species id.
