Keichousaurus ... Real ? Enhanced?

Curious to read opinions on this.  Looks interesting, want to think it is authentic, from the underside (?)  though the neck vertebrae seem twisted and the head seems off, perhaps shaped and painted.

  • Wayne Lewis changed the title to Keichousaurus ... Real ? Enhanced?

Real.

Enhanced? I don´t know, maybe some color here and there.

Prep is not the worst I have seen.

Part with the  dubios head is cemented to the rest of the specimen and comes from another slab. Note different veining.

unsure because of the different slabs containing skull and body and end of the tail

I think it is a mixture, but hard to decide

Picture is not good enough to make any real remarks.

We would need better, in focus, well lit photos of the entire plate.

But from this photo, the head does look off.

The skull looks a bit weird to me, it's like it's painted.  Not a very good specimen but it's largely genuine.

Agree with everyone else. The body looks good, the head looks suspect and better photos are needed.

Additional body photos probably good as well, the angled lighting may be hiding imperfections (though they may have done that just to demonstrate the 3D nature of the bones).

Ask for a photo of the back side of the plate also.
