The fossil in the images below is being sold as that of a Merycoidodon, but it looks rather small for such an animal, so I wondered if it could be from a smaller Merycoidodontid or perhaps another small ungulate like Leptomeryx.

I did wonder if that was the case, but naturally one needs to look at the dentition of the fossil to know for sure.

Danielb was correct: the jaw is from the Brule Formation, Nebraska. Apologies I should have stated the location in which it was found in the first post.
