I am going to start a thread and just add to it as the days go on. Instead of posting alot of threads for each hunt.  If that is ok. Jumped out after work today and within 5 minutes I found a slightly damaged whole Flexicalymene. I slowed down a bit today and believe I found another cheek plate, this time loose. I also am adding photos of other finds today, along with a shot of that small trilobite I found the other day, and a new purchased trilobite that was delivered today.

No.

To quote the OP, "a new purchased trilobite that was delivered today".

Looks Russian to me.

Went out today after work to a new spot. The place had been hammered! Tracks and slide marks everywhere. Still ended up finding a few things. Kept some moults to give to a friend.

Thank you. I have been trying to pay attention to detail. The new spot today has some real potential.  So many moults it was insane. Some of them were huge,  well, the largest I have seen. Not near as many isotelus fragments that I  am used to though. Also, it had been picked over bad though. Plan on going to a spot tomorrow that is not hunted as hard as that one is (according to footprints  and slide marks).

Ok, so today I  took a different approach and slowed my pace down a good amount and really checked things out. I  am usually focused on trilobites and hope to find at least one or two. I  ended up finding a slightly damaged whole flexicalymene,  but using the slowed down approach I found what I  believe is multiple trilobite trace fossils. I  still need to really check the one layer out for more. All of the trace fossils came from the same exact spot, other than the smaller stretch of what I  believe are trilobite tracks. The one section appears to me to be burrows of trilobites, with a resting burrow ... the last 2 photos are what I  believe are 2 different sets of trilobite tracks. Please let me know what you think.

I ordered a dremel and some Zoic tips awhile back. This evening I tried it out. Kind of excited to start learning how to prep. Knocked some matrix off of some horn corals, started working on a crinoid stem, and actually chipped this out of matrix. Fun stuff, and plan on adding an air abrasion unit soon!

Jumped out after work for a bit and did some searching.  Found what I  believe is an isotelus pygidium,  and spent most of my time looking for the other end. Did snap one other photo due to there being fragments of isotelus and flexicalymene sitting with one another. Would really like to find the other end of the isotelus but know it is unlikely.

Been sick lately, but had to get out for a bit here and there. Hopefully don't waste my vacation time completely,  and get better soon. A few photos.

First off, thank you for suggesting the book! I  love it!

Roller in matrix.

Today I found 5 full flexicalymene,  2 damaged, and a rusophycus. Along with some other things. May add more photos a bit later.
