Found in Crawfordsville, IN Montgomery County along Sugar Creek.

Did not have to dig out, but was found loose in the sand bar.

There are a TON of crinoids in this area. Tooth?

I agree, not a tooth.  No enamel, no tooth morphology.

Also, being found where lots of crinoids are found. Not a ton of toothy critters around in the paleozoic.
