The brochure said if I stood behind the wall and was patient that I would see dinosaurs. Didn't happen.  Sheesh! Wasted that nickel. Last time I stop at a tourist trap.

  • SPrice changed the title to Hunting dinosaurs in Moab, Utah.

I wonder how often they repair bullet holes in it. :) Be vewy, vewy qwiet. If you don't move he can't see you.

Mark.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

This one didn't have any evident  patches on either side or in the head. Musta been some great restoration work.  We took one of our college kiddos to Moab for the day  to celebrate a finished semester and hiked in Arches Nat Park  until sunset.

I did see one real fossil...besides a giant field of petrified sand dunes.

We have one on the Interstate outside of “Dinosaur World”. The locals have been shooting arrows in it since I can remember. They fall out or get removed and you’ll drive by a few weeks later and bingo. New arrows.

I once had a professor get downright giddy over Precambrian ripple marks.

It's quite common here. I have some decent sized pieces in my yard. Anyone wants some, just pay the shipping. This is the smallest one. Others are laptop sized or bigger.

Perhaps the dinosaurs are camouflaged?

I looked everywhere and didn't see them. Must be stealth camou.
