Beach Find, SW florida, what’s inside

Found this walking the beach. I assume it’s sandstone. After a closer look I noticed either a feather or fish fin stuck in the middle. Not sure if anyone can see it clear enough to help identify what it is. Sorry, I took the picture with my phone.

Can you zoom in on the pic any more? A better close-up might help getting a good ID.

Thats cool. might actually be a barnacle fragment..

Here are several examples I have showing some fragmented outlines....ignore the circular worm traces!!!

Coral fragment possibility also crossed my mind...

Yep, barnacles growing on top of others..
