So I found this little thing last year, and haven’t been able to identify it. It was found in Sweden in a limestone quarry most finds are from the Creataous, local fossil hunters couldn’t id it ether, but some guesses was that it might be a scale or part of an octopus mouth. Thanks for any help!

I do not see a rhyncholith, but, what will it be...? Perhaps part of a tooth, this is what it reminds me when I see it

In my mind it also seems most like a tooth, it’s kinda hard to see in the pic but it looks like there’s tooth enamel. though it doesn’t match any of the know species on the site.
forgot to add a size pic so here it is

Yeah maybe I’ve found a bunch of smaller fish teeth a the same place, but something about this tooth feels more reptile to me. Idk but might also be something similar to a whale tooth serrations?

tooth like this would be spectacular. The Basilos occure in lower Tertiary, not in upper cretaceous.

But might be there was something similar

Superinteresting find, I love this riddles :Smiling:

Lets go to solve it
