Aroma de la Tylostoma (Goodland formation)

Shaun-DFW Fossils

I don’t have too many tylostoma gastropods, but I found a few yesterday that include the biggest one I’ve found in one piece. Small hemiaster and heteraster echinoids galore as well. The big Tylostoma will replace one of my current “keepers” in my collection. Tarrant county, TX near downtown Fort Worth. The others are anchura(?)

These are some great finds! I have yet to find gastropods this size.

I might have to research Tarrant county and do some hunting myself.

Thank you! Lots of exposed limestone just east of downtown and extending to the west out to Aledo. Easy hunting for the smaller echinoids and occasionally oxytropidoceras ammonites!
