TheBigL
Curious to know how fake this piece is. Color enhanced feels like a given, but is any part of it real? Thank you in advance.
Ludwigia
I'd hazard the guess that this is a well-made piece of sculptured artwork, but I'm by no means an expert on the subject. Maybe @Tidgy's Dad has an idea. 4 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

RJB
My very first thought in the instant I gazed apon this was, "too perfect". Then started to really look at it and all the other pics and came to the conclusion purty quickly that it was a carved piece of artwork. Its been done rather nicely, but not for me. Jaybot
It's a nice piece of art. Whoever made this fake actually did a decent job 1 -Jay ''...science is eminently perfectible, and that each theory has constantly to give way to a fresh one.'' -Journey to the Center of the Earth, Jules Verne

I appreciate the info! I got it in a batch of fossils with real crinoids, but fake brittle star plates.

Tidgy's Dad
The original one is a hundred percent awful fake. Most of the last batch look real, though not brilliantly preserved. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
