Eocarcharia tooth !

Brevicollis

Recommended Posts

Yay, i finally got my hands on a nice Eocarcharia tooth from the Elhraz formation, Niger !

Its 3,5 cm in length and the broken end is quite smooth. Has anyone an Idea why ?

It's as smooth as glass. Are there any rivers running through that formation which could have possibly sanded it down?

Thanks to hear some of yours ideas!

Nice tooth.

Atleast some of the material is collected from desert. Perhaps fine sand has sanded it, but its just an guess.

There's no such thing as too many teeth.

often the only way to find it like in other localities. You see the tooth when you walk around, sometimes a year to late, sometimes at the right moment
