Please help me ID this fossil I found in my backyard in Tarrant County, Texas.  I was digging a new flower bed.  It was found 6-8" deep.  It's 1.5 inches long.  Grateful for any help you can give me in ID'ing it!

Unfortunately, I know nothing of the geology/stratigraphy of that area.

Maybe a local will chime in.

How old do you think it is?

Well, if it is not recent, then from Tarrant County it is going to be either Cretaceous in age (~66-100 million years ago) or Pleistocene (~2.5 million year or younger).  It looks in pretty good shape for what I think a Cretaceous crab would be, but I'm not that familiar with what crabs are found up there.  One of our North Texas folks will be along before long to hopefully be more definitive.
