Real root on Sauropod tooth ?

Recommended Posts

Hello, can someone tell me If there is something wrong about this Eusauropod tooth from the Isalo IIIb formation ? The root seems kinda off to me. So before trying to buy it, i want to know what you think about it.

Its 1.31 Inch in length, i dont know how many centimeters that is.

Are good signatures really that important ?

Looks real. The heavily eroded preservation matches the crown.

Yes, these areas look suspicious to me too. I dont know about the second one, but theres something between the crown and the root. Would it still be worth trying to buy it ? Or should i stay away ? I mean, Eusauropod teeth are rare, and this one is quite cheap for its sice and condition.

Not easy to decide…, if it is cheap and you like it, buy the tooth. Crown is original, and most of the teeth with root and eroded or broken…
