Found this at Corys Ln in Portsmouth RI today, it looks like bark from a tree and is curved like a section of trunk its slate but curved trying to determine if or what type of fossil it might be?? Thanks in advance :)

Likely a decorticated trunk or branch of a lycopod.

Something like lepidodendron, perhaps.
