North Sulphur River ID Help

Recommended Posts

These items were found on the NSR. I am new to identifying and would like some help with these unique looking specimens. A few may just be rocks? Please let me know if you need better pictures of any specific one. Photo 12 is not natural and a little heavy- maybe a bullet?

Thanks for the help!

Number 12 certainly looks like a bullet to me. At a guess....38 Special wadcutter spent bullet. Like the one in the pic, minus the wax in the rings.

Number 11 looks like Inoceramus fossil oysters...maybe.

Number 8 looks like they could be partial ammonite chambers.

Hopefully, some folks on here more familiar with the NSR finds will chime in.

The top one looks like a trace fossil. Thalassinoides perhaps.
