New Members SusanTX Posted May 2 New Members Share Posted May 2 Anyone have any ideas on what these are. I know one is some type of snail. They were given to me by an elderly man. He appreciated my love of nature. I am in Texas West of Ft Worth
Ludwigia
Yes, you're correct about the gastropod (snail). The one on the left in the last photo is a Gryphaea oyster and the one on the right a partial bivalve. Maybe one of the Texans here can be more precise than I. 1 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
ClearLake
Yes, as mentioned, one gastropod (top in last picture), maybe something like Tylostoma; one bivalve, (left in last picture), probably Texigryphaea and the third one (right in last picture) I'm inclined to think is a fragment of one of our ammonites, maybe a a weathered Oxytropidoceras, but that might ID be a stretch since is is just a very worn small piece. 1
