I agree with @Fin Lover. Better pictures and finding location need to be added. But I can tell so far, that this is not a dinosaur tooth.

This appears to be a worn horn coral to my eyes, maybe someone is able to ID it, although it kinda reminds me of a Rugosa. I could be wrong tho, as im not an expert.

Mark.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

You say you don't know what it is, and want too learn.

But then you disregard what people who do know fossils say and tell us we are wrong.:zzzzscratchchin:

Why ask at all?

All I said was I would keep researching. I didn't say anything about anyone being wrong. Why take it further then that?

Sound like your saying we are wrong here, or did I miss something?

Sorry, bad day.

We all have those doesn't mean we have to share that negative energy on those who have affected your life in no way at all. If I'm wrong that's cool I'll accept it but I've looked at teeth and what you have mentioned and my thoughts are still not sure. That is fair by anyone's ability to go through a new understanding process on something they are just beginning to start

If people are going to be negative on here instead of being open minded when the object is not even in their hands and instead of being willing to teach rather then "I HAVE SPOKEN" then I have no interest in being a part of this forum

Have a look at the anatomy of a rugose coral. You will notice septae on your piece that corresponds very well. I do encounter them quite a bit in my deposits (much to my chagrin as I search for trilobites. :) ).

Definetly a rugose or horn coral. Both the side and the end pictures tell the tale for exactly the reasons Kane mentions

No only one person has tried to help explain anything to me everyone else has been "we said what we said so accept it cuz we said so and we are smarter then this guy who is just now learning" This will be my only post on this forum. So many self righteous, degrading, and so set in their way of thinking.

It's a horn coral. There are lots of rocks and fossils that are unclear or that prompt interesting debates about identity. Yours is very clear, which is fine because horn corals are very cool. But people get frustrated when someone asks for an ID on a forum that includes a lot of very knowledgeable people and then that someone says they don't believe it. Why bother asking? If you want to think it's a tooth you're perfectly welcome to do so, but it isn't - it's a horn coral. Why is it a horn coral, and not a dinosaur tooth? You could write paragraphs, but the easiest way is to just google what a dinosaur tooth looks like and what a horn coral looks like. It's incredibly clear which one your example resembles.
