My First Megalodon!

This past November, on the day before my grandfather's funeral, I took a walk down a stretch of beach just south of Venice, Fl where we had been searching out shark's teeth for 20 years. I had never found a megalodon, but on those few days before the service I was determined and just somehow knew in my heart I was going to find one. The day I found this the tide was low and calm and this was just laying in the water pointing at me. It's 4.25" and has a metallic blue blade! Stoked find! Thank you grandpa!

Hello Mike,

I am sorry about your Grandpa, but congratulations on finding such a nice tooth. If you have been collecting for 20+ years and never found a Megalodon tooth and the fact that is was on a public beach, maybe that was a gift from your Grandpa.
