Best Of The Day

I headed out bright and early as usual but found the water higher than normal. Combined with high waves and very little dry land I thought the day would be a bust. I cam across a short stretch of dry land that really paid off. This photo is the best of the day but there were about 50 more. The two large Mako's are just at and over 2 5/8.

Very nice. Great colors and variety. Nice meg too. Are you hunting the James, Potomac or other? Understand if you don't want to share that info.

Thanks everyone, I do find quite a few with amazing colors but the camera phone never does them justice. I'm about to post today's finds and there is a great Hemi with white edges that fade into a blue center. These are from 3.3.13

Great finds! Love the colors of the teeth in your first post. The items on the outskirts in your second pic blend in with the back ground. Any chance we can get a pic of them on solid background? You really got a few good days in!

Craig, not sure you realized it or not, but perhaps your best find from these pics was the Giant thresher (Alopias grandis) just to the left of the Meg. It's a bit worn, but looks complete - and they're fairly rare.

I really appreciate you pointing that out, I passed right over that tooth and now need to dig it back out of the pile and separate it. truth is I have a few others and after not hunting much for a couple years I had forgotten about them.
