RickNC
Added a really cool mosasaur piece to my collection with this find. I find the teeth on rare occasion and have often imagined finding one with some jaw still attached. Well yesterday I finally found one like that. The tooth itself is a little dinged up but still real nice. I also found a single tooth with some feeding wear but still pretty good. Found some really worn megs too. I loved how this one came out. I got excited until I noticed it was worn: Did manage to find a couple nice great whites, few crow shark teeth, and a couple little half decent makos. Also a half decent cookie there. I've only found one complete one, this one is close but not quite: Think I added about three pounds or more of broken/worn teeth to my donate bag:

MikeDOTB
Megs and mosasur in the same place....? Must be a streambed, huh? JPC, Green Mill Run is an interesting place. You have Black Creek and Peedee formation exposures (Cretaceous) and Yorktown Formation (Pliocene). Plus you've got some Pleistocene material that gets mixed in here and there (mastodon, horse, giant beaver) and there are even some shell exposures here and there. On top of all that there is reworked material from other time periods, but usually the fossils are pretty worn. But occasionally a decent one shows up such as Otodus Obliccus. The rest you can only guess but I have seen worn teeth with serration lines that could only be Auriculatus. Other oddities show up as well. Not to mention I've seen some beautiful stone artifacts found in that creek! The thing is with that creek, as in most places, you have to put in a lot of time and effort to produce results. DO, or do not. There is no try.
