Libby, I would say your brothers tooth is Carcharhinus obscurus, Dusky Shark. our whale tooth is very nice, I have only seen a small handful of them from there and I am not one of the lucky ones.

Hi Libby, looks like finding the whale tooth would be worth putting up with the spiders and mosquitos!...

I just came in from standing outside trying to photo these Perseid meteor showers for the heck of it and just came in with a small spider on the shoulder and a couple mosquito bites....such a deal! Did see some jets, but no meteors! Going out again--its still a little early!

Cool fossil finds! Insect and other critter photos are always a plus for me! Thanks.
