The Winner of the June 2014 Invertebrate / Plant Find Of The Month is the Winged insect fossil from Pennsylvanian period Francis Creek shale of Illinois, U.S.A.! Congratulations to Rob Russell on a very cool little Mazon Creek find and his 2nd IPFOTM win! :1-SlapHands_zpsbb015b76:

Huzzah! Congrats on that special little nodule.

I got to see that one in person when Rob showed it to me when I was up in Chicago last month. It's a neat little winged insect.

Cheers.

Thanks again all for your comments. The best I can so to describe the specimen is to call it a winged insect. :)
