Okay.. How the?!?!? How can you tell that from such a rounded small piece? Are you able to explain to some of us noobs how we could ever have a chance at ID'ing that? :D

Baleen whales are the only mammals large enough to produce a bone of that size. Although it could possibly be from the shaft of a radius or ulna, it is far more likely that it is a rib. Also, the cross section and histology match that of baleen whale ribs.
