The Winner of the August 2014 Vertebrate Find Of The Month is the Pelagornis sp. giant false-toothed bird (psuedodontorn) upper jaw from the Early Miocene Calvert Formation of Maryland, USA! Congratulations to Kyle (busyeagle) on the discovery and preparation of this rare find, and his second win in the VFOTM!

Congradulations! Your Pelagornis is a terrific find. The day you posted I knew you would have the Vertebrate fossil of the month. I was so intrigued with a bird that looked like it had teeth; I had to Google it right away. Chalk it up as a learning experience on something I didn't know even existed. Thanks for entering and showing this unique find.
