Collecting Partial Specimens

At first I brought home as much as I could get in the trunk of the '94 altima and still clear speed bumps.

I began to notice that my husband and children seemed to be hiding when I would get home. I got comments like "It really is not a good idea to put 400 lbs of rock in the trunk". I explained they were fossils but he just shook his head. I probally have 200 lbs of stuff in my room now and I have been told some must leave before anymore comes up two flights of steps. I think the 70lb mushroom rock with surface fossils was the last straw -sheesh glad I didn't bring the big one!

I have promised I will be more discriminating next trip, either that or I am going to have to start lifting weights!

I go and give talks at local schools and share little fossils. I am speaking to my son's third grade class next week and I will have a lttle fossil for each child. I usually keep a few around my shop and often give one to a child who shows interest.
