The Winner of the July 2015 Vertebrate Find Of The Month is the Ptyonius marshii amphibian from the Mid-Pennsylvanian Cannel Coal of Ohio, USA! Congratulations to fossilcrazy (John) on his fourth win in the contest with another rarity from the Cannel Coal! :1-SlapHands_zpsbb015b76:

Thank you for the accolades and all FF VFOTM participants. All the fossils are worthy of "Jonesing".

If anyone is tired of Linton material walking away with VFOTH awards; my Cannel Coal supply is seriously dwindled and less likely to give up another candidate. It felt like the proverbial fish barrel just reach in and pull one out. As the cliche goes "all good things must come to an end". :(

Being the Paleobotany nut that I am, I'm eyeing some hunts that produce Paleozoic Plants. Tough category, but watch out IPFOTM, I'm aiming right at you.
