I found these at the end of may.

But You prepped them in July.

From the rules for the FOTM contest....

3.Your Fossil must have been found during the Month of the Contest, or significant Preparation of your Fossil must have been completed during the Month of the Contest.

4. You must include the Date of your Discovery or the Date of Preparation Completion.
5. Before and After Preparation photos must be submitted for Prepped specimens not found during the Month of the Contest.

So, if You have before pictures, You should be all set.

Tony

PS If You have something better then.....

I have a vague memory of some apocryphal reference to that effect... Don't let it bother you. I'm sure it wasn't widely circulated.

Don't bother Me at all, but Ynot gets bent over things like that.

No, that is not true-- it is Tony that gets out of sorts over stuff like that. Not Me.

Ok, lots of comradery lately, but ive been preppin up a storm.  On the first page is a 'double specimen' that Ive finally got done.  Lots of work for this one.  I was going to sell this one but my son fell in love with it,,,,, so now its his.   These both have major problems for me, but still,,, it looks purty dang good!  Im not sure but I think the lower one is a HUGE gulosum?   Not sure of the upper one?  Both have some very beautiful color!!!

I dont know my ammos very well, so I do not know the species of this one.  This was also a 'free-be'.   Had a big piece of rock that turned out to be a piece of junk of what was showing, so my son took it outside and 'wacked' it.  This is what came from that.  A real freakin little beauty!!!   Every fossil hunter could use a surprize like this.  Just wish everyone could see the color in this thing?

@Ludwigia, im not use to keeping sooooo many fossils from one trip, but these really are better than most.

@ynot,   Yep,, they just keep a comin.  A really nice thing for a fossil hunter and preparator.

On page 3 of this thread are some picture of one where I filled in with rockite and then took it off the rock.  Just finished that one today.  For half an ammonite, it came out purty dang good!!!  Oh, this is spedini and measures in at a wopping 5 inches!!!

That's a beauty. The best part is that you can't even see the reconstructive surgery from this side!

@Ptychodus04   Yeah, there is absolutely nothing on the other side.  I was going to sell this one to a friend of mine who wanted it, but the more I worked on it the better it got!  So now its in my ammo display case.
