Thanks! That's ok, I am not too sure many other people know about teeth from this region either but it's still very cool to have some in a collection!

Iguanodontid vertebrae

Brighstone Bay, Isle of Wight

This vertebrae was found last week by the seller out of the cliff base on Brighstone beach below the Grange Farm camp site. They believe it is a vertebrae belonging to Iguanodon. Photo of where the fossil was found is also below. The seller regularly finds dinosaur bones and is going out tomorrow to find some more so hopefully some nice fossils will be exposed after the rain today.

Some additional pics below with a scale next to the vertebrae

Nice piece! :)

Iguanodontid seems the most likely id.

Thanks! It's not a big vertebrae but looks really cool and is complete! A partial one was also found which is huge! Below is the side of the partial that is complete. I think that due to the size of this particular fossil, it may quite possibly be a sauropod vert instead.

Titanosaurid indeterminate

Rio Ne.gro, Allen Formation

Argentina

This tooth has been mentioned on the forum before and was advertised by the seller as Saltasaurus robustus however Saltasaurus robustus is no longer considered a valid taxon and material is now assigned to a new genus Neuquensaurus from the Anacleto Formation not Allen Formation. This tooth and other teeth the seller has now all sold was collected and exported prior to the export ban on all fossils. More info in @Troodon's post regarding the ID of teeth from this location is linked below. :dinothumb:

Thanks @indominus rex I probably won't see material from this location ever again on sale so I decided to get it as it was the last tooth in their collection from Argentina (I know other members on this forum who have other Argentine teeth sold by them too). The tooth is actually much nicer in hand...much better than the photos that were on their website!

The tooth does look a lot nicer than it did on their website. That's probably why it took this tooth so long to sale. I think this tooth has been on their website for 15 to 20 years. Smart decision to buy it, like you said you're not going to find another one. This was the first and now maybe the last fossil dealer that I saw on the Internet that ever had Argentinian teeth.

Yes it is definitely nicer much in hand and in these pictures than the low resolution pictures that are on their website but this is totally understand as the pictures were taken 15 to 20 years ago and I don't think they updated the pics. When I first saw the tooth on their website I had been wanting to buy it but I never did because it had been on their website unsold for such a long time. I eventually ended up getting it because it will be the only tooth from Argentina that I will ever be able to get and it was the last tooth in their collection from this location. Although it's not a complete tooth I still like it alot and I personally don't mind the fact that I can't ascertain the ID of the tooth because I like to have a variety of teeth from different locations in my collection.

Tyrannosaur indet.

Likely to be Appalachiosaurus cf.

Bladen County, North Carolina
Tar Heel Formation
Black Creek Group
Size: 36mm

This tooth was discovered by a local fossil hunter and geologist with four other teeth found in the exact same spot. The geologist has spent decades collecting in this location and knows the geology of the area very well. These teeth were identified by a local museum by David Schwimmer (not to be confused with the actor). These teeth are most likely all associated and from the same tyrannosaur. Although the tooth is not a pretty tooth and doesnt have good enamel and the serrations are no longer present, it is too compressed to be crocodlyophorm. It is also too long and too compressed which rules out a raptor and mosasaur. Tyrannosaur is a good ID and Dryptosaurus is younger than Appalachiosaurus montgomeriensis so this rules out Dryptosaurus. Since Appalachiosaurus montgomeriensis is the only tyrannosaur from this formation, I have labelled this tooth as such. Here are the pictures of my tooth with some of the other Appalachiosaurus teeth that I mention above (second photo, second tooth from right is my tooth).

Acheroraptor temertyorum
Hell Creek Formation, Montana

Size: 9mm height, 6mm width of base

I managed to take some photos of this beauty under magnification. I have to say the small teeth really surprise you they are incredible!! The detail you get in the teeth that your eyes miss is unbelievable. I definitely need to invest in a microscope for taking pics. Each tiny line on the ruler is a mm.

Siamosaurus suteethorni
Early Cretaceous
Sao Khua Formation
Khorat group
Changwat Khon Kaen
Thailand
Size: 40mm

Obtained from an old collection prior to the ban. This tooth looks incredible on the matrix and I really like the detail on the striations on the tooth. The matrix is 60mm (L) x 50mm (W)

Siamotyrannus isanensis
Early Cretaceous
Sao Khua Formation
Khorat group
Changwat Khon Kaen, Thailand
Size: 61 mm

Obtained from an old collection prior to the ban. The serrations and enamel on this tooth are incredible!

Wow quite the care package :D that Siamotyrannus is spectacular and is definetly my favorite! Big, perfect enamel, serrations, and partially rooted!

Have a photo of the riker case yet? Must be running out of space!

Yes quite a lot came in one go Christmas in February haha. Thanks! Yes the Siamotyrannus is soooo cool and the Siamosaurus looks really good on the matrix.

On the weekend I am going to try to re-arrange my big riker case to incorporate some of the more recent teeth that I have obtained with the rest of my collection but I am definitely running out of space! I think I am going to put my Suchomimus teeth, Baryonyx teeth and Siamosaurus together or perhaps move them into a separate Riker. I am also planning to place the Acheroraptor tooth with my other small teeth such as the Kileskus and taking them out of the floating mount and putting them in a Riker of their own as well or perhaps buy a bigger floating mount and put them in there.
