That really was a great find, Dave!

Glad it is actually all there, even if it is a bit crushed. ;)

Thanks Jay and Tim! It was totally all luck on this one.This was like finding a needle in a haystack and it so easily could have been destroyed. The fossils Gods blessed me with this.:dinothumb::trilo:

Ok so I wanted to share one more thing. I know I already showed the tiny Dipleura I found. It was the highlight of my day. It is approximately 5 cm or 2inches long. I found it while trying to clear off a ton of debris offmy intended digging spot. I was using a hoe to pull down they derbris which was mostly small flakes. Every once in a while the hoe would snag a bigger chunk. At my leisure I would inspect some of these chunks. I just was fortunate to inspect the right one. The trilo was barely hanging on to a very fractured chunk of rock. Luckily I was able to break off the flake it rested on without it breaking into a bunch of tiny pieces. I thought the left side was missing. On closer inspection I found that the left side was folded over and flattened. The trilo has some cheek and nose damage. Regardless a very nice find in my book. I took some close-ups that I hope you will enjoy.

Great specimen! :trilowalk:

I love the other piece with several bugs in too!

Lucky and clever chap! :)

@Darktooth, nice Dipluera indeed. Not at all a worry about the left side. At least it is all there and nicely prone.

Thanks Dave! The only thing that could of made it better is if it was the size of the specimen you found! But I won't be greedy!;)

Again, congratulations Dave. There is more to that Dipleura than what originally appeared. A very nice specimen, indeed. You deserve this find after all of that hard work excavating a ton of rock.

@Darktooth, yours may be nice... but I still like my first Dipleura find. Prepping out nicely so far!

A large complete Dipleura cephalon is certainly a prize. I keep every one I find. Congratulations Jay.

@Pagurus

Hey Mike!

I just noticed, your Spyroceras appears to have a Reptaria stolonifera  on it!

Extra bonus fossil!

Great finds, everyone.  @Shamalama  @Darktooth  @Kane  @Pagurus  @DevonianDigger @Jeffrey P

I'd just like to reiterate what a great bunch of people these are to collect with.

There was communal sharing of fossils. There was a bunch of collaborative digging/slab removing.

There were Chocolate chip cookies!

I really enjoy this spot, but the company is what always makes the trip. :)

*Well how about that! I'll take another look at it when I get a chance, and maybe get some better photos too. Thanks for spotting that, Tim. I never would have.

* Ah, the perils of online commenting. I originally typed, "Well what do you know!"  But I then realized it could be read as, "Well what do YOU know!"  I'd hate to start an online battle with my friend Tim.  :wacko:

Start the day with a smile and get it over with.

@Fossildude19, any idea what's up with this bug? Not the Dipleura, but it keeps double-posting photos that I upload, and it won't let me delete them. If I go in to edit the post and delete it, it deletes it, then when I submit it, it just shows back up again. It's been happening a LOT lately.

@DevonianDigger

Jay,

It did it to me, the first time I went in to edit it.

I had to delete the photo from the post using the "Garbage Can" Icon on the photo down below the post. (After saving the original image, that is .)

Then I re-uploaded it.  Came out fine.  :headscratch: :shrug: I'll add it to the bug list. ;)
