A few from this weekend

Over the holiday weekend we managed to head North to Wyoming.

A few pictures and a few "finds"

Started off with a Badger

 

Headed to a place called "talking rock"

 

 

 

Checked out some of the indian work and took a few pictures.

 

 

The Indians would sit in these spaces and work on there arrowheads. Not much shade to be found out on the prairie. Lots of small pieces covering the ground that had been worked.

Due to fast moving weather we had to make fast time back to camp. We did one quick stop and I didn't take 1 picture there. A area that has belemites.

This was Bills first time and he scored big. That is about twice the size of your average belemite that is found at this location. We took a sons friend with us and the red rock was his first fossil. A few of the wild iris's that were blooming. A good trip already looking forward to going back.

That is a huge belemnite for this state.  Is this the place northeast of Medicine Bow?  I drove through that area yestredy, and yes, the weather was exciting.
