I got some new fossils today, since I needed to order quite a lot of new display material like boxes, stands, labels, and all that...

Really nice collection and setup!

I need way bigger shelves, haha!

I really like the brucite, too, and have wanted to order some myself.

Thank you! :)
You should get one, it's a lovely mineral with an impressive color and right now they are still pretty affordable.
But scince only one mineral vein of yellow Brucite is known to date I fear prices might rise pretty fast when that vein is depleted.

And today I recieved my other order of fossils! Thus far 2019 has already been a good year for my collection!
154714526022091429.jpg.288e30b11a914f0a779f5e818b47945a.jpg

A Merycoidodon skull with jaws, found in Meng Farm Site, Souix County, White River Formation in Nebraska, USA (Oligocene age)
It's not a museum replica piece, but I got it for a very good price and oreodont skull are usually hard to come by in Europe and usually at very high prices. So I am very happy with this one, will probably construct some sort of stand together with my girlfriend to display the skull with jaws.

Here are a few updated picture of the fossil room since I got so many new acquisitions the last month

I want to make this my "Hell Creek" display, in the next 2 months I am planning on getting some cheaper Hell Creek fossils from Lepidosteus, Borealosuchus and I might move my Triceratops and Edmontosaurus tooth to here as well.
And I plan on buying a Nannotyrannus tooth in the near future to display here.

I shop with many british sellers and I am trying to shop as much as possible before the brexit kicks in, just in case the brexit causes extra import taxes when buying in Britain from the European mainland.

  • 2 weeks later...

My newest additions to the collection!

A unidentified cretaceous turtle bone from Oued Zem in Morocco (70 million years old)
154844114272358696.jpg.b442c38b2729a51565d5a79825b15fc8.jpg

And a fossilized great white (Carcharodon carcharias) tooth from an old collection, found in the Atacama desert in Chile (4 million years old)
One of my most expensive shark teeth, normally I am not willing to spend a lot of money to shark teeth but when this one came up for sale I had to grab it! :D
I've always wanted to have a Great White tooth, but due to CITES regulation it's very hard to uptain legally collected modern great white teeth, so I am very happy one with the fossilized one! :D

I have it currently displayed next to my Megalodon tooth

I'm not sure about spinosaurus, but the Black Hills Institute makes 1:1 replicas of T rex, triceratops, apatosaurus, etc.
