Fossil-Hound
@ntrusc very nice. With your location being UK you could go out and find your own. Excellent display pieces. Do or do not. There is no try. - Yoda

Excellent display pieces. Thanks, I do find quite a few myself, there’s some earlier in the thread made with yorkshire ammonites. Hard to get enough that are translucent to use in quantity for these. FossilNerd
Just came across this thread. This clock and your earlier mentioned pieces are amazing! MeargleSchmeargl
Really like the clocks! Maybe make clocks with all ammos having the same point on each shell face the center, so it looks somewhat like the numerals on this one? I think the rotation effect would be cool! Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.

FossilNerd
Beautiful Neil! My grandmother used to do stained glass work as a hobby. Your work brings back found memories of her “sun catchers” hanging in the windows of her house. MeargleSchmeargl
Yay, more art to stare at! Out of curiosity, what exactly goes into making all these things? Give us a little tour of the workshop? Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.
peystone
These are great, usually Im not a fan of working fossils to create something but this works very well, and you can still appreciate the fossils

I'm lucky enough to have had a look in Neil's workshop and seen what goes into making these beautiful stained glasses and the splitting and polishing of the ammonites. A creative job well done.
