Looks like a piece of agate/chalcedony.

Could be a fossil, but to distorted to be sure.

Did it come from the same area as the geodized crinoid You posted before?

Yes, it comes from the same place. I have also leaned toward mineral but then I detect a few details and wonder...nothing obvious but I just wanted to run it past other to be sure.

Because of the process of "geodization" the fossils in that area will often be distorted, sometimes beyond recognition.

If You continue to hunt the formation You will get to a point where You will recognize the various stages of change from recognizable to totally misshapen.

You can also web search for geodized fossils (of indiana).

Thank you. From what I can tell, I have a lot of geodized fossils. I've been trying to learn about them.

I do not think so.

Looks more like a piece of banded chert. The shape is caused by the type of fracture that chert has (concoidial, like glass).
