Harry Pristis
The typical species from Morocco is the elegans and i think that it's yours. The problem of the traditional preparation was that they did not clean the spines and the details were not appraised well, but at least they did not put them of artifical form as it happening now in the majority. I have one phacops armatus from there bought in 1996 without spines as well. Did you buy it in Erfoud? I think this web page could help you: http://pagesperso-orange.fr/jb.gayet/pages...ychoelegans.htm Thank you for that great web-page link! Unhappily, I wasn't able to navigate to any other pages on that French web-site. Yes, I did get that Psychopyge and many other trilobites there in Erfoud. Do these images look familiar? -------Harry Pristis 1 http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
Members geofossil
The following is a good forum to make inquiries on Moroccan fossils. Go to 'Paleontologie' for info. The forum is in French but some members will help you if you make an effort to at least say 'Bonjour' and 'Merci'. Most research on Moroccan fossils is in French and fossil collectors in France travel to Morocco, are familiar with various species, etc. Scroll down halfway to 'Paleontologie' http://www.geoforum.fr/index.php?act=idx
Gatorman
Great site! Could you add it to the links section?

Thank you, Geofossil, for the link to the French forum. I am happy thus far with the help that we're getting from our members in Spain! But, another forum may be useful at some time. ------------Harry Pristis http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest

That is a very nice site in English for identification. There's a link there to Sam Gon's page that I want to follow, as well. Thank you, Trilospain! Gatorman
All forums have their usefulness no one forum can have all the content, unless it was the sole forum of its kind and had everyone interested in that subject. I am a member of many forums, this gives me the ability to take the things I like on other forums and use them on mine and also to stay away from the things I do not like that I see on other forums, hopefully this will result in this forum being more successful as a community. Anson, that sounds vaguely like a reproach, but I think you've merely expanded on what I said. Are you actually bragging that you're poaching ideas from other forums? That doesn't sound right. http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
Gatorman
Haha no Harry I don't steal unique site features like logo styles or content, I mostly learn of useful modifications to a forum that benefit the members.
