Since the name "Motley Crue" is taken, you should call yourselves "The Kneepad Naturalists". :P

The actual bones are still there, except for the ones they excavated and housed. They have built a park where you can go see them. AND you should!!!

Anyone know if this site is close?? Mammoth site

Id love to see all those Mammoths.

Yes - this was the forum trip I organized last fall.

However, it's really easy to get up there. If during the week you can just go to the COE office and ask for a research permit to look for ammonite and echnoid fossils. I think if you say shark's teeth then there is some conflict with the new prohibition on hunting for vertibrate materrial... If you plan on going during a weekend then you'll have to contact the COE office and get a permit application sent to you via e-mail.

Nice easy spot to visit and lots of little fossils.

What is geology? "Rocks for Jocks!"

Look again, Owen. This was 2008. Where did the years go?! Then there was the 2009 trip.
