Very nice, Bobby. I may be somewhat partial to trilobites, and this is one I don't yet have an example of. :D

I would gift it to you but it is not  anywhere near the standards of a bug in your collection. Thanks for your kind comment. Cheers Bobby

Something a little different from the last, a  Acastocephala macrops from Much Wenlock, Shropshire. Dates to the Mid Silurian Period. It’s heads has flipped other this is a nice trick if you can get away with it but sadly I don’t think this bug was so lucky.

I would say likely a moult, so the bug was able to crawl out and live for another day. :)

Another nice one, Bobby. I think I may have a near complete of this one. This may be it, and I don't want to hijack your fine thread! This may be C. nuda, not C. tenuis. Same area, though.

I am in two minds about negatives......

If you wanted a pair of shoes, would you be happy to just buy the sole imprint ??? :heartylaugh:

For @Kane I have shown this before on this thread, so I thought I do some macro photos with my phone.

Cnemidopyge Nuda is a genus of trilobites that lived during the Ordovician. Llandrindod Wells, Wales.

Well that’s understandable, did you see it in a photo before purchase it. I know with trilobites than they can look positive when it is a negative.

It looked positive in the photo. Optical illusion! The seller felt bad about not disclosing it (an honest mistake; he now does disclose that). I've broke rock with the lad, so he owes me a favour next time we're in the field together.

Very nice. :)

A number of years ago, a fellow fossil comrade visited me from Georgia and gifted me a big bucket of that material for me to split. It was the gift that kept on giving, and especially now that the site is posted, so no more collecting. We have to treasure those Cambrian beauties from Georgia! The limonite halo really makes them pop.
