Yes, that was Don ( @FossilDAWG). Couldn't ask for a better fossil friend who has seen me in good and bad times. :)

Yup. Collecting fossils is great, but collecting lifelong friends means so much more. :) My hope is one day I will get to visit you.

Maybe we could all meet up at a venue?

Maybe a morning at the NHM followed by lunch somewhere nearby ?

You're much farther ahead than I am in planning! I do think some kind of mutual venue would work. I still need to talk to my travel agen to secure all those details, but I'll send you and Bobby DMs when I can hammer out the logistics.

Today bug is quite a common verity.I think I will keep this theme until Sunday.

Ogygiocarella sp

Ordovician , Llanvirn series,

Meadowtown , Shropshire.

A little rough but it has a place in my collection. I do like photographing bugs with the Marco lens.

Very rare but not much of a find , maybe worth keeping anyway .

Stenopareia sp.

U. Ordovician (Ashgill, Rawtheyan)

Girvan District, Ayrshire, Scotland

Another negative,

Ampyx linleyensis (Whittard,1955)

Ordovician - Lower Llanvirn

Shropshire, UK

This is a little ironic bug as the only part that is not a negative is  frontal spine , frontal spine is most the time missing in this bug.

Finally for today this bug with the macro lens photographs nicely.

I think this in the U.K. is a rarity but maybe someone here will know if this is fact or fiction.

Acaste sp

Silurian, Homerian.

Wenlock series,
Coalbrookdale, Shropshire.

You don’t often see decent specimens of these

They are mostly partials

Much nicer than my own hand-written label I see in the bottom left of your display!

Hi Adam I have been wondering how I ended up with your hand writing labels, this trilobite was not In the fantastic lot of fossil you sent me and all of the fossil info was on cool Doctor Who note paper . By any chance did you add a this trilobite to Sara travels fund becomes that what I choose.

Cheers Bobby

I honestly can't remember, old chap. Did I not send you another parcel at some point?

I have a whole bunch of Aphelaspis brachyphasis as, like our friend @Kane, I was sent a load of matrix to break open and sort through, though mine was from another great mutual friend, Ralph @Nimravis I've given several away, can't recall when and to whom.

Such a shame the site is no longer accessible.:shakehead:
