therocksharks
Any idea what this is? I found it in AZ, Desert area, Sandstone, Agate and Quartz around, but no others like this. It's about 5" across. IMG_20230322_153126.heif IMG_20230322_153144_HDR.heif
DPS Ammonite
Slag; note the bubbles, different colored angular inclusions and youthful appearance. Natural extrusive volcanic rocks usually have elongated cavities, (amygdules), that are often lined with secondary minerals such as quartz, calcite, clays and zeolites. I see no such linings. There are numerous photo converters online for this function. The Forum software does not play well with these newer photo formats. Thanks for your attention.
