Here's a special Ceraurus that some of you may have seen from @Kane's prep thread... it has some pretty incredible detail, including little brachiopods scattered on the body!

I'll get some better photos soon, my cat Indy wouldn't stop photobombing the plate:headscratch:

So glad it made it in one piece! (No matter how much we pack these things, there is always that little nervous feeling of "what if"!). Your cat probably detects the scent of my cats (or cats just have a fondness for trilobites :P ) .

Varanus priscus (formerly Megalania prisca) tooth

Delungra area, NSW, Australia

Age - Pleistocene

Dimensions - 19.8mm x 9.7mm x 7.5mm

Haven't bought a new fossil in many months but received this lovely tooth today. It has been approved for exportation by the Queensland Museum (letter provided to me from Australian Government - National Cultural Heritage Committee).

The teeth from Megalania are sharp and recurved with wrinkled, infolded enamel. The tooth is darker in person just came out like this with the flash.

Amazing to think that this super predator was prowling outback Australia and overlaps with human settlement!

My newest purchase is the UK Pliosaur tooth (from the Cretaceous Cambridge Greensand) I asked about in a thread for identification. I just received it today and it is a big tooth crown, over 3cm in width and makes the Pliosaur teeth I have from Morocco quite small in comparison. I had the id confirmed by Daniel Madzia (the author of the 2016 review paper that discussed Pliosaur teeth from the Cambridge Greensand and determined that Polyptychodon might be a nomen dubium) and he said it is a Brachaucheninae indet. Thanks to everyone in the thread that confirmed it was Pliosaur. I am very grateful for the help I received in this forum :)

I usually don´t accept given fossil (have enough), but this one was an exception. I got it from @Wrangellian in exchange for a few specimens from Austria (see somewhere above). It fits nicely in my collection because I have collected some monotids in Austria myself. Thanks so much, @Wrangellian!

Yeah, you got so lucky with this one, Michael! I check that site daily and there are such infrequent updates... And not just that, the price you got this for is unbelievable! I said it before, but it's an awesome specimen! Also great to hear that my original impression has been confirmed by such a renowned specialist in the field as Madzia! :D

Yeah Daniel Madzia is very friendly and helpful, but I'm also very grateful to you since you helped me in the identification of basically every Pliosaur tooth I have purchased this year! I am lucky to have purchased it with that price but I do wonder who bought the other Pliosaur tooth since that was a bargain too! hopefully you are able to find a nice Pliosaur tooth you enjoy soon :) (I think you have some nice Pliosaur teeth already!)

Btw, the other Pliosaur tooth I purchased from Morocco (the same site you got your recent one from) got lost in the mail :(

Odd, that. I've also had good experiences with other British (which I presume Madzia is) researchers, but failed when trying to contact Michael Maïsch. Probably just coincidence, but good to know Madzia is approachable in any case ;) And no worries about my help identifying your teeth - glad to have helped. Just leave them for me next time you see them - you know I'll be around an hour or so later! (j/k, of course) :P

I've actually got a nice brachauchenine on the way, that should arrive in just a couple of days. Unfortunately, it's only my third this year, and have pretty much had to pay top dollar for the best two of them :( And while I've also managed to score two great Pervushovisaurus platypterygiine teeth from the Greensand, I'm really still looking for a good quality, but affordable British Cretaceous one, much like those that were just sold back then. Ah well, they must come by again eventually, right? They just must... :P

Oh no! Of all the Moroccan specimens I've seen, that one must've been just about the best. It wasn't particularly large, but still a decent size and, most importantly, without any notable damage or compression - which is rare from Goulmima, in my experience :( Hope it's just heavily delayed... But with the amount of time that has passed since, I do fear for the worst :(

That is a beautiful Pterosaur jaw! very rare! As discussed in the thread, I would label it as an Azhdarchoid Indet for the moment because it looks more likely an Apatorhamphus partial jaw (a potential Chaoyangopterid). Awesome fossil you bought :)

My latest addition, a nice Acheroraptor tooth with characteristic ridges and feeding wear on the tip. (It's also from the same county as the holotype.)

Indeed, I really like the uniqueness of their teeth. Some paleontologists have suggested the ridges on premax teeth in Dromaeosaurs were specialized for preening feathers, and I wonder if Acheroraptor's ridges on other positions served a similar purpose...
