Hi there .. this is a partial piece of a cowry shell ... your's being a bit larger I think from the photo.

PS. These shells can be extremely common in your neck of the woods. In particular Mauritia mauritiana, common name the humpback cowry can get quite large, I have one I picked up while snorkeling on the Big Island.
