caldigger
OK, how about I expand my trade area to the lower south eastern coastal states, as the items I have will not be from those areas.
Fossil Claw
I am in if anyone wants self collected Cincinnati arch Ordivcian material. I don't have much other trade material right now as I have already traded most of my duplicate fossils already this year.

PFOOLEY
Well, all I can say is this was too much fun!...pretty exciting to open a box of fossils when you don't know what might be in there. A big thank you to calgigger for the thought...lot's of smiles on my end. "I am glad I shall never be young without wild country to be young in. Ridgehiker
I must have a touch of dyslexia. I read this as a 'blind date'. My girlfriend would disapprove of my participation..

caldigger
Here are the items I received from Snolly50 St. Clair fern plate Pet. wood echinoid Oreodont jaws shark teeth dino bone cabochon Really cool stuff John, thank you! These are from Pfooley A great assortment of Carlile Shale ammonites from New Mexico ( the big boy is about 10" across), more great stuff I most likely would never be able to acquire on my own. Thanks guys!!! I should have three more boxes coming... I feel like a 6 year old at Christmas! Edited September 7, 2015 by caldigger
snolly50
Here is a shot of the other side of the blind trade - material sent by caldigger. The picture does not show an included bag of Shark Tooth Hill micro matrix. I had already put it next to my 'scope and forgot to stage it for the photo. The ammolite doublet pictured did not photograph well, but in reality it has very nice flash, mostly red. Check out the ID/geological info labels that accompanied the pieces - very helpful. This was a fun and novel experience. I enjoyed it and received material I did not already have. A great outcome. 1 Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, also are remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams, Last Chance to See

caldigger
Darn this long weekend! Now I have to wait until next week to get more stuff ( three more boxes!). I'm having to rethink my displays to accommodate the new items and thanks to Pfooley, I may have to create a display dedicated solely to ammonites. Your humble servant, caldigger P.S. still in the market for trading for some mammal/ vert. stuff Edited September 8, 2015 by caldigger
Mike C.
I love this idea!!! I mainly have stuff from Ohio some from Florida and some from South Dakota also I know this is for fossils but my wife is sick of seeing all the quartz around the house (Arkansas mining trip last year) so if you want i can throw some in, if not thats fine too. If anyone (any two any three lol) outside of Ohio is interested in a blind trade pm me. Hope to hear from you! Thanks Edited September 8, 2015 by Mike C. caldigger
Well I just received my box from Minnbuckeye (Mike M. ) and I have to say, the guy really hooked me up. The items in the box just kept coming and I think I have a type specimen from every kind of invertebrate in the north west U.S. (Mn,, Wi., Ia.) Included was the biggest chunk of Orthoceras I have ever seen (6" across). I might have to do several posts just to accommodate the items in photos. Very pleased with this trade. Thank you. Invertebrates were never my thing, but after these trades, I am starting to have a new appreciation. Man, I am running out of display space big time! Thanks to those that have sent their boxes. I hope you enjoy what has been sent. On edge till the next ones arrive. Doren aka caldigger Edited September 9, 2015 by caldigger
minnbuckeye
Just returned from a lengthy vacation. Will post my treasures from Caldigger in the next few days. Just wanted to inform Caldigger that he received just a modest sized cephalopod. We are blessed in my neck of the woods to have such a large quantity available. Any of my many large specimens are cost prohibited to send. Doren, if ever in the area, I can give you a "real" Orthoceras!

caldigger
Mike, I had sent you a message correcting the ID on the Squali. tooth. I copied the wrong label when I was gathering your items. It's a pristodontus. Sorry, caldigger
caldigger
Update- I just received another three boxes today. Guys really?! I didn't expect you to send me your entire collections!!! I am overwhelmed. The amount of terrific fossils I have received has gotten me emotional. The outpouring of stuff has been far more than I ever expected. I am so grateful to you all! Thank you, thank you! When I went to the mailbox today I got packages from Fossil Claw, jgcox, and Jesuslover340. Everything was outstanding! Skyelar, I have to say, when you stated you didn't have much vert. material, I wasn't expecting too much. Honey, you really outdid yourself. I can easily fill an entire bookshelf with your trades. Thank you very much!!! Thank you all that participated in this very fun trading game. Keep it going guys!
