Thanks, Bobby, for your daily reminder of the wonder and beauty our little planet has held in its grasp for all these many years. I would greatly enjoy seeing more of these mini beauties.

Thank you Mike, very nicely phased.

Finally for today some amber. Just photographed with my phone and clip on lens, with no fancy software. I think with my tech this is the best photographs I can achieve.

I have this :

It tends to be a bit dark

It needs light coming from underneath imo

Dominican amber , Oligocene.  The inclusion was hard to photograph because of the angle of the bug to the surface of the amber. It could be a bark gnawing beetle , very sweet anyway.

Thats my allotment of amber I may still have some copal.

Today’s post is inspired by @old bones wonderful post he made this weekend, check it out. Lol Old Bones thread also made me laugh with a witty thank you to his Mum.

My pictures are not great today. The light is overcast and with my very limited tech it is hard to work with it.

cheers Bobby

Have you taken more pictures of your amber than showing on this link?

No,

Most of my Amber is in those mounts which makes then difficult to photograph with the microscope
