Tidgy's Dad
I received my box of Wren's Nest Wenlock Silurian bits and bobs and micro matrix from Jingle Bells John today! @JohnBrewer A kazillion bits of ancient reef. That'll keep me busy over the festive season. Lovely! Thanks, John! 3 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Adam86cucv
I came home to be surprised by my low budget fossils that I forgot were on their way. A dozen Jurassic ammonites from the Aveyron area in southern France and some Jurassic star-shaped crinoid stem fossils from France, Isocrinus basaltiformis species.

ziggycardon
Since I finished my new fossil room 2 days ago, I needed to order quite a lot of new display material like boxes, stands, labels, and all that... And while I was at it I though, let's throw in some fossils as well to celebrate and here is what we got! A Calamites trunk imprint from Ibbenburen in Germany, Carboniferous A unidentified fish from the Kemkem beds in Morocco, 95 million years old A piece of shell from a Box Turtle (Terrapine carolina), found in Aucilla River, Florida in the USA, around 1 million years old A Beluga vertebrae found in the North Sea in The Netherlands, 40 000 years old A piece of Mookaite from West Australia, 125 - 113 million years old A rooted Mosasaurus beaugei tooth from Oued Zem in Morocco, 70 million years old A Crocodile tooth (I guess it might belong to Elosuchus) from the Kemkem beds in Morocco, 95 million years old And a Pathological Otodus obliquus tooth from Oued Zem in Morocco, 60 million years old And I saw these too and I just needed to have them! They are the leaves and branches of living fossil plants, which are an amazing educational prop and just awesome to display alongside their fossil counterparts. They include a branch of a Giant Sequoia, A Ginkgo leaf, A branch of a horsetail and a branch of swamp cypress. The horsetail will be displayed with my Calamites fossil and the Cypress will be display alongside my petrified wood from Hoegaarden. 2 Interested in all things paleontology, geology, zoology, evolution, natural history and science! I was bidding on the auction to support the forum, lots of nice Palaeozoic invert stuff that i liked and it kind of got overshadowed by your End Of Year Auction. The auctioner added on some hadrosaur pubis bone bits to boost the thing and I got the lot for $26! 2 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Mosasaurus beaugei teeth can be recognized at its facetted surface, just like the one you have. I got one myself this weekend, here a photo of mine it to compare. 2 Interested in all things paleontology, geology, zoology, evolution, natural history and science!
