My best guess on the usage of this item is to fill it with lint/stuffing, string and such for birds to fluff their nests with.

 Is this correct?

Haha honestly I’m

not sure... I just bought it because I think it would look cool with my fossil collection one day

I have seen similar items for the garden that hang from trees for that purpose, so thats my answer and I'm sticking to it!

Yeah I would be in trouble with that I slipped in a mammoth or two. Don’t judge me I made it before I became a member of TFF:D

Shh...admit to nothing! It is clear you were depicting a giant sinkhole or extinct volcanic vent that managed to span several geologic time periods. Naturally, the movement of the Earth's crust resulted in the formations of various ledges in said sinkhole/vent explaining why the dinosaurs and mammoth appear at different levels. The creatures were obviously mummified prior to fossilization. :fistbump:

I have this one too! I use it in coprolite presentations. I first show the kids this lovely bit of fake poo that I made and ask them to try to figure out what was on the menu.

And then Land of the Lost, although not a cartoon, was appointment TV, just to see the dinosaurs - especially "grumpy" the Allosaurus or was it a T. rex (?)

That was one of my favorites...although Will Marshall was the draw for me. ;)

What?!  I thought every kid played with toy inverts when they were young.

The brachiopod action figures were the funnest. And who didn't love make belive playing with all those plastic Rugose corals.

Gosh, I must have had the entire crinoid collection, even the special editions too.

Boy, that really brings back fond memories!

Some of my favorite childhood books:

Hands down my favorite.  I practically slept with this thing.

My second favorite.  The paintings are amazing.  Just last week I collected my first phytosaur material, something I first learned about in this book (sadly, no Coelophysis).

The rest are in no particular order but still love (and have) them all.

Love it.  The one I coveted was from my rural Indiana public library. But my best friend checked it out and lost it.  He had to pay for a new one. Years later he found the original one that he lost and gave it to me.  It's one of my most treasured possessions.  It still has 42, my library number, all up and down the inside cover (yes, my library number was the answer to the question of the meaning of life, the universe, and everything :))
