I am delighted to announce that the lovely Sara the Triceratops has arrived a day early! This is good as I am off of work today and was planning to get outdoors with 2 of my children. Darktooth Posted April 15, 2022 Share Posted April 15, 2022 (edited) So we got back home a little while ago. I am very glad that we were able to take Sara on a little adventure today. Good way to start off her visit. I feel like I need to get something off my chest. Today has been an emotional Rollercoaster for me. Many of you know that we are getting close to the anniversary of Doren's passing. I feel lucky to have Sara under my care during this time. When I first opened up the package and saw Sara my eyes started watering. That has been going off and on all day. I am not saying this to get anybody else sad, but to remind all who read about Sara's adventures, the man behind this whole thing. To have Sara, in my possession, is like having a part of Doren with me. Anyhow, on with the show! So today me and my youngest son, Devin, stopped at a couple roadcuts looking for snakes before picking up my oldest child Rachel to join us on a day outdoors. The first spot didn't produce any snakes or even fossils. It did produce some lovely snail shells which Sara seemed quite fond of. I think Sara was a bit nervous when I took her picture next to the falls, but I assured her that I would not let anything happen to her. Not on my watch! I suspected she may have been hungry. I told her not to ruin her appetite as we would have dinner when we got home. She became content playing a game of hide and seek with me. Doren commented that it looked too bare, and he was sending me a few items to put in it. He sent me some Bakersfield shark teeth in matrix. I made sure to put them top shelf smack in the middle. I put Sara in to bed in between those shark teeth. She seemed very calm and at piece. To be continued.....................tomorrow! 5 1 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
