badeend
Yes, that's right, at least, that was my conclusion! Thank you Mike! Greetings Walter “If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself.”
minnbuckeye
@badeend, Unfortunately shipping charges limited me, I mean Santa, to smaller items. If prices ever subside, I can send some much better ammonites! Happy Holidays, Mike
minnbuckeye
Well, my Secret Santa package arrived weeks ago. It was placed on the mantle with every intent of exploring the contents on Xmas. The excitement of the unknown got the best of me, especially knowing that Santa's return address showed my fossils came from a special forum member. So here are my wonderful items: My daughter's favorite was the candy bar. We each enjoyed a taste, then I left the house. Upon return, the bar was gone!!!!! We both thoroughly enjoyed the unique taste of the maple chocolate, unfortunately her more than me!! A stunning coral! I love spirifers. They make Adam jealous! A new gastropod for my collection. This cephalon is large!! And Coco, I purposely left my ruler out of the picture. It distracted from the Holiday theme. Something I RARELY find. A spectacular crinoid!!!!! Thanks so much Santa! You made this holiday season special! Mike 1

What a wonderful treat! Thanks Secret Santa! I know who you are, but lets see if others can figure it out. I should have taken a picture as it came out of the box, as it was all very neatly wrapped and protected. I also appreciate the info that came with each item. A great hash plate. I already see two or maybe three different trilobite types with a couple of them tantalizingly partially buried and an interesting gastropod that I am not familiar with. I think a little prep work will make this even more spectacular. As an added plus, it represents my first fossils from the state of Wisconsin. Here are some Ordovician brachiopods. This is a great gastropod. When I collected in the Iowa Ordovician a few summers back, I did not find any of this genus, so that is excellent. I don't have many graptolites and this will be only my second fossil from the state of Minnesota. A nice flipped trilobite and the little brachiopods that you probably can't really see in these pictures are pretty neat. So, thank you very much Secret Santa!!! Who is it????? The parcel was HUGE, and I can barely put into words how amazing the contents inside are to me. It's a European smorgasbord ... I mean .. before this parcel I didn't really own any ammonites ? .. That has changed in rather spectacular fashion. The Echinoid from Germany is just exquisite. Really just amazing. Thank you to my secret Santa. You made the holiday quite spectacular for those of us in the house that like dead things and the old rocks that they have become. Cheers, Brett Your Santas are Angels, they offered you really amazing fossils. Brett, you even have a fossil from Ruffec in the departement of Charente, one of my uncle is from there. And the turritella is not rare, but it's location is because now, it is forbidden to gather fossils from there.
