In all seriousness though, this last one is one of the best presents I’ve ever received. I’m am always humbled by the generosity of my fellow forum members, and this year is certainly no exception. A very sincere thank you to my Santa.

This is a drawing of a crab I found and prepped a while back. I will dig the real one out later for comparison.

Sconehenge?

Edit: I reacted to Adam's picture above as I was catching up on the thread. Later I saw his comment stating this was Sconehenge.  We must think alike. :ighappy: I also realized that I had forgotten to put in a Doren themed gift this year. It is something I try to do each year.

Awe, shucks. Thanks for the compliment but nope, this wonderful drawing is not mine. I'd be awfully proud if it were though. Awesome crab too!

The style is more reminiscent of @Top Trilo on account of the pencil strokes.

You are correct! Thank you so much Alex @Top Trilo for the amazing package, especially the fantastic drawing. I put in an urgent last minute request to Santa for a nice frame to proudly display my new artwork in my home.

Indeed it is me who sent @Fossilis Willis's package! I'm glad you like it Will!

Now that my identity is known I can say I completely forgot to write that all the petrified wood belongs to the family Lauraceae, from Arapahoe County CO.

And my handwriting may be tough to read but the leaf is Fagopsis.

Good detective work @Kane, are you planning on picking up the pencil yourself any time soon?

I absolutely love it! Thanks again.

As far as the handwriting, it was quite legible. It’s my typing that needs work.

Okay finally had time to open up my secret Santa!

To start off - got some lovely Fossil trivia and coloring books, which I may have to use to convince some of my nieces and nephews to get into fossils…

A2A3C46E-5B06-4695-A882-CB00148C4DBA.thumb.jpeg.61fded879a38a7d26a860af5fdb3d812.jpeg2C044F25-7413-49DB-9BE8-DE2D26C1778E.thumb.jpeg.017e1bbfe39588a6c3dd91d4de146185.jpeg

For the actual fossils:

A really cool fossil scallop, an awesome gastropod, a beautiful ammonoid, a free floating crinoid, a trilobite head, and then 2 awesome hash plates!

2BA94815-B5D1-4FF6-8434-B896D97ACA21.thumb.jpeg.7d7ac8962bc332077a9a4198b14b4701.jpegC5648469-947E-4C6D-8F8D-E7CEBFFFD52F.thumb.jpeg.d5c8f035034c7e442d731540ab7b5cf4.jpeg

Thank you very much to my secret Santa, I love all of these, particularly the trilobites and the crinoid!

So I’m going to take a wild guess and say this person is from N.Y… but outside of that, I really have no clue.

I think this might be from @Monica

Even though she lives in Canada, she has been to Penn Dixie. And the books seem like something she might send.

Okay so I might be able to kinda cheat cause besides the hash plates, my secret santa put their full name + address on the box. Luckily for the game I can't match name to username, so it's still a guess.... except it's from New York!
