Here's a recently acquired sort-of bargain Platypterygius kiprijanolfi ichthyosaur tooth from Kursk, Russia!

That’s a very nice tooth. Some stunning fossil shone over the last few posted.

I've never seen a white trilobite! It does look like ivory!

Well today I received 2 packages in the mail, the first package was from my secret Santa in Canada and the second was from one of the most generous members on the Fossil Forum, the one and only @caldigger - Doren. He knows how much I like the micro matrix from Sharktooth Hill and he also knows how long and cold Chicago Winters are, so to help me through that time I can search for little fossils. Thanks again Doren for the Medium Priority box of matrix, I can’t wait to start looking through this stuff, and to help me carry it he provided 2- Jurassic Park bags.

@Nimravis I just received a package from the great elf @caldigger Man this guy is awesome. By the looks of it this could be an Isurus hastalis (transitional Great White/Mako) from Bakersfield (shark tooth hill), CA. Decent size too. We definitely should all chip in and get him a new car.  :megdance:

I recently received a terrific box of fossils from Japan. @David in Japan sent them as a prize for my haiku entry in his enjoyable and educational contest here on the forum. Thank you so much for your generosity, David! I am so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful forum, with friendly, kind, knowledgeable members all over the world.

David sent a beautiful variety of fossils, none of which I had before.

You are very welcome, your participation to the Haiku contest was awesome (as everyone else but only one winner in this contest unfortunately), you deserved it. I am glad you've been able to join us for this contest. It is always very nice to meet and make new friends.

I have been lazy with the fusulina's identification and I apologies for that but here is a photo I took in Akiyoshi plateau museum. It it a list of all the fusilier species yield there.

You should be able to identify very quickly all those interesting guys.
