That sounds like a small business and a lot of messy, stinky work to clean up after 300! Certainly not a hobby or personal collection. What on earth do you do with poop from 300 chicks? Compost and gardening? Other than the weekly mucking out of our coops and barn, along with replenishing the bedding in the nesting boxes, cleanup wasn’t too much of a chore since our chickens free ranged during the day. The only time cleanup would become a real issue is during cold spells when the chickens were cooped up all day. Now that would result in stinky messes! Ugh. ~ Yes, we had a compost pile. With the exception of the spring/summer of 2017, when we allowed several of our broody hens to hatch dozens of eggs, we usually kept our flock to around 36 chickens. I never could bring myself to kill and eat a chicken I’d raised, so we gave them away to neighbors.

Al Dente
Here's our new dog. We have two others that I posted earlier. My wife decided to foster dogs for the rescue shelter where she volunteers. We fostered this guy for a month. He was a very sick walking skeleton when he arrived. He would sleep all day and not really interact with anyone. Another person fostered him for a month after us. We then got him back and he was much improved. He was very happy and playful with our other dogs. He was so well behaved we decided to adopt him. The shelter had named him Rooster and we kept the name.

VTinNorthAB
After taking care of classroom anoles for the summer, we sadly had to return them back to the grade 3 classroom. The cat became their buddy and missed them...as did my girls and myself. I hand fed one when he was overly stressed and got quite attached. Our home seems like something was missing.... Lucky for us my wonderful hubby gave the green light for a gecko. We then surprised both the girls with their very own leopard gecko. Sooo...I would like to introduce the newest members of our family: JoJo - a 3m old, female, albino tremper x hi-yellow leopard gecko And Lola - a 2.5m old, female, hi-yellow leopard gecko I am so in love
