No. This is part of a collection from decades ago.
it’s possible they might not know themselves.
This specimen is part of a collection of dinosaur material that was collected by a single individual (Steve Walchina) decades ago, prior to the current law. Because it was collected before the law went into effect, the collection was "grandfathered" in.

The collection was reviewed by the Royal Tyrrell Museum and a disposition certificate issued for portions of it that were not considered scientifically significant. This moved the fossils into private ownership and allowed them to be removed from the province. The disposition certificate (#000024-25) is on file with the Royal Tyrrell Museum.

I know Steve.  Probably from Drumheller area so it would be horseshoes canyon fm.

Now you need to make a suitable stand to showcase this beast. ;)

Nice one Mike, how big is it?

It came from Drumheller valley Horseshoe canyon formation. I bought a Hadrosaur carpal and Ceratopsian vertebrae from the same place. And congrats on the pick up!!

Received a package yesterday, but as I wasn't home when it was delivered, it had to wait for pickup at the postal outlet today.

Inside were both unexpected surprises. @digit has been kind and helpful in providing me with marine IDs of my Caribbean underwater fish-bothering in the nature photography thread, and has sent this spectacular, luridly illustrated identification guide. Not only does Ken play an essential function in this book as editor and among the photo contributors, but the book is personally autographed to me by one of the co-authors as well. Absolutely wonderful! And, as the package was passing through @Monica first for some fossil micro-mix from Ken, Monica delightfully perked the package with these Cambrian trilobite partials from the famed Cranbrook area, and the other a cranidium of the Famous French tectonically twisted Nesereutus tristani! Thank you!

A new trilobite species (the first for 2020), and a lovely guide that will be coming with me in February to the Lesser Antilles -- Couldn't ask for more. :)

This beautiful mammoth tooth came to us from Oklahoma ,8" long, 10" tall, and 4.5" thick. My granddaughter had a fit over this one. was told it had a couple of repairs but were well done and well hid.

I was lucky enough to make the winning bid on our favorite auction site. Something I've been wishing for for quite a while and the price was right. Package just arrived today with the Green River Cockerellites liops in it.

A pretty cool new addition arrived today, just in time for a couple of 1st grade fossil education programs on Tuesday. A couple of firsts with this one. Our first Mazon Creek fossil and our first Shark egg case ! Positive and Negative, two for one. Palaeoxyris prendellii is the ID from the seller and we will go with that. I believe that is the egg case associated with Bandringa.

Anyway, a really nice looking fossil and one half can serve as a great touch fossil !

Nice bug, Bobby.:)

wifey was kind enough to order me a replacement of a blastoid I'd lost during our move to Morocco, and the seller supplied me with three!

I also got another rarer blastoid species and lots of brachiopods (pictures not included).
